Christ Lutheran Church is located in the quaint village of Niantic at the crossroads of Niantic and Congo-Niantic Roads, less than 1 mile off of route 100.

 

We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA). From the beginning, Christ Lutheran Church has grounded itself on God's amazing love, God's holy Word and sacrament.

Mid-week Lent services

Wednesdays through March 29

will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran, Sassamansville

beginning at 6:00 p.m. with a soup supper and then at 7:00 p.m. will be the worship service.

If you plan on attending the soup supper, please sign-up on the sheet on the bulletin board just inside the side entry door downstairs.  Thank you.

Quilt Tying

On Tuesday, April 11 beginning at 9:30 a.m., we will be tying quilts in the social hall. 

Help is always needed!!

 Lutheran Ladies Lunch

Our next lunch will be

Tuesday, April 11 at 12 noon. 

We will be going to

Redvo (formerly the Oley Turnpike Dairy) 

 in Oley.

We will meet in the church parking lot at 11:30 a.m. to carpool or meet us at Redvo at 12 noon.

Holy Week

Palm Sunday – April 2, 9:00 a.m.

Holy Week begins April 2 with our Palm Sunday services at the usual time with the Blessing and Distribution of Palms and the Sacrament of Holy Communion.

 

Maundy Thursday – April 6, 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran, Sassamansville

Maundy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus with his disciples, which was the occasion for the institution of Holy Communion. The service is at 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

 

Good Friday Tenebrae Service – April 7,

7:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran, Barto.

The centerpiece of our Good Friday service will be a service of great liturgy and responses. The service is held at 7:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran, Barto. We encourage you to attend this special service.

Easter Sunrise Service – April 9, time: 6:30 a.m. and Easter Festival Service – 9:00 a.m.

Easter Sunday will be celebrated with a sunrise service (time: 6:30 a.m.) and a later service at the usual 9:00 a.m. time.  In between the services, the FUN Committee will host a Coffee, Cake & Conversation in the Welcome Center.  A sign-up sheet is posted in the narthex if you would like to bring a breakfast treat to share.  We hope you are able to join us for fellowship time!

HELP WANTED | ALL AGES

 

Worship and Music Committee is looking for volunteers to

greet/usher, lector, communion assist, assisting minister or acolyte!  We thought it would be a great idea to get everyone involved, so we are asking youth and adults to volunteer in any of these capacities.  We really need your help in this ministry!  Please volunteer by contacting calling or e-mailing Melissa in the church office.
