Pastor Stacie Dougherty
A native of Philadelphia, Pastor Stacie Dougherty attended
the Philadelphia General Hospital School of Nursing and received an
undergraduate degree in Theology from St. Joseph's University. She has done
graduate work in Pediatric Nursing, taught nursing at Delaware County
Community College, and worked in both Critical Care and Post Anesthesia Care
Units as well as various health insurance and pharmaceutical corporations.
Pastor Stacie's call to ordained ministry grew out of a spiritual journey to
adopt her daughter from Nepal. God used these events to help her
discern a call to ordained ministry and following her graduation from the
Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia in May 2003, her first call
was to Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Allentown. She has also
served as a hospice chaplain, a supply pastor, and the Vice-Pastor/acting
Senior Pastor at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Southampton, PA. Her
passions in ministry include pastoral care, preaching, education, bible
study, visitation and outreach.
Pastor Stacie has been married for 26 years to Patrick Durkin, and together
they have three children. She enjoys spending time
with the family pets - Bear (a large, friendly dog), Jasmine, Luke, Leia and
a new addition Sabrina
(cats) - as well as reading, taking walks, yoga, and listening to music. She
has traveled with her family to Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, as well
as in the United States. |
