175th Anniversary News
Update
Plans for the 175th Anniversary Celebration are
moving along. A sign announcing our celebration year will be placed on the lot
across the street from the church in fall. The Anniversary Cookbook will be
available in early fall. The Anniversary Historical Booklet with photos is
progressing. Mark your calendar to reserve these special celebration dates:
April 10, 2011 – Joint Service with Calvary
June 5, 2011 – Anniversary Celebration followed by Dinner
July 30, 2011 – Old Fashioned Picnic with Calvary
October 30, 2011 – Reformation Celebration with Bishop Burkat

The Cookbooks Are Being Printed!
We have received and approved the proof for the cookbook cover and text. It
has been returned to the publisher and is now in the process of being
printed and assembled.
The sale of the cookbooks will begin as soon as they arrive. Each cookbook
has almost 200 pages with close to 500 recipes. The cookbooks are bound in a
washable, laminated, hard cover three ring format. The cost per book will be
$12.00.
The cookbooks will be available each Sunday morning for purchase. They make
great gifts!! If you would like to sell copies to your friends and
coworkers, we will have a sign out sheet available. |

| Memory Book:
Do you want to help us preserve the history of our current generation?
What are your memories of early Sunday School days, special programs and
events that the church held, Bible Studies, etc.? What memories do you have
of a former pastor, a choir director, or choir participation? What part did
the church have in helping you on your spiritual journey? As part of our
175th Anniversary celebration YOU can help us create a Memory Book. Members
are asked to write their memories on a form that has been prepared and can
be picked up in the narthex or click here
(Memory Book) to fill out your memories of Niantic. This sheet will be
put in our Book of Memories and preserved for future generations.
Your help is needed to make this a successful project for our celebration
for our 175th Anniversary celebration. |
